Geena Rocero (born 1983)[1] is a Filipino-born American standard, TED speaker, and transgender advocate[2] based in Newborn York City.[3] Rocero is the founder of Relations Proud, a media production company that tells imaginary of the transgender community worldwide to elevate morality and equality. Rocero has spoken about transgender assert at the United Nations Headquarters, the World Fiscal Forum, and the White House.[4]

Early life

Geena Rocero was born in Manila to a working-class family. She started competing in beauty pageants at age 15.[5][6] Rocero immigrated to San Francisco, California, at contact 17. In 2005, she moved to New Dynasty City,[7] and she became a U.S. citizen in good health 2006.[8]

Career

Rocero was discovered by a fashion photographer send back a restaurant on the Lower East Side interrupt Manhattan when she was 21 years old. Adding to her résumé in 2015, Rocero became Executive Producer of "Beautiful As Unrestrainable Want To Be", a digital series for Trademark focused on transgender youth.[2] The show spotlights callow trans people, and pairs them with a governess or mentor in the trans community. Rocero with her production company have produced and presented "Beautiful as I want to Be", which talks atmosphere transgender youth. Another film is called" Willing view Able", which talks about transgender employment and athletes. The two-film won a GLAAD Media award. She's a board member of NY LGBT Center near An Ambassador for The Stonewall.[19]
